Ewelina Maksimiuk

Ewelina Maksimiuk creates original jewelry designs, meticulously attending to the volume and form of every object. The jewelry she designs is an echo of her larger sculptural works. In the forms she creates, Maksimiuk strives to simplify unnecessary elements, thereby building unique shapes. Her projects explore themes related to movement, light, physicality, and human emotionality. Through the artist's passion for metal and spatial forms, functional jewelry has become a medium for her ideas, and the forms she creates - worn by both women and men - have the opportunity to function within the sphere of everyday life.

Ewelina Maksimiuk is a graduate of Printmaking at the Faculty of Visual Arts, Academy of Art in Szczecin. She defended her Master's degree with honors in 2018. She is the author of solo exhibitions and a participant in dozens of international and national exhibitions, including the 8th International Triennial of Graphic Art in Sofia, the 8th Printmaking Biennale in Macedonia, the 10th International Biennial of Small Forms in Pleven (Bulgaria), and the International Printmaking Biennale in Mexico. Her works have also been exhibited at the Center of Contemporary Art in Toruń, the National Museum in Szczecin, the Armory of Art in Gdańsk during "Best ASP Diplomas '18," and the Grand Prix of Young Polish Printmaking in Kraków. She is also a recipient of the Artistic Award of the Mayor of Szczecin.
