VISITOR POLICY FOR THE MoJA JEWELRY MUSEUM

The following rules set forth the guidelines for visiting the MoJA Jewelry Museum, with the aim of ensuring the safety of the exhibits, a comfortable visitor experience, and order within the premises. Due to the exceptional value and fragility of the jewelry pieces, adherence to these rules is absolutely necessary. Every person entering the Museum premises accepts these rules and agrees to abide by them.

I. GENERAL PROVISIONS

  1. The MoJA Jewelry Museum is open to visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except on the days and at the times listed on the website and at the ticket counters. The Museum reserves the right to change opening hours and close the exhibition for safety or technical reasons.
  2. Admission to the permanent exhibition is permitted only upon purchase of a valid admission ticket or presentation of a document entitling the holder to free or reduced-price admission.
  3. The last admission to the exhibition is no later than 45 minutes before the Museum closes (i.e., at 5:15 PM).
  4. Visitors are required to strictly follow the instructions and guidance provided by Museum staff (service personnel, docents, security personnel).

II. RULES OF CONDUCT AND EXHIBITION SAFETY

  1. Protection of Jewelry Exhibits:
  • It is strictly prohibited to touch any jewelry exhibits, display cases, pedestals, or elements of the exhibition hall decor. Please maintain a safe distance.
  • Due to the sensitivity of the jewelry to vibrations, please move quietly and carefully through the exhibition halls.
  1. Luggage and Personal Belongings:
  • Large bags, backpacks, suitcases, packages, umbrellas, and outerwear are prohibited in the exhibition halls. Please leave them in the lockers.
  • It is prohibited to bring in or consume food and beverages in the exhibition halls (with the exception of water in small, transparent bottles).
  1. Noise and Order:
  • Quiet and order must be maintained throughout the Museum. Loud conversations, the use of cell phones without a headset, and any behavior that disturbs other visitors are prohibited.
  • Running, climbing, and sitting on exhibition elements are prohibited.
  • Throughout the entire Museum, smoking and the use of e-cigarettes, the consumption of alcoholic beverages and intoxicating substances, the bringing of firearms or other items posing a threat to the safety of people or the collections—including, but not limited to, sharp and dangerous objects—are strictly prohibited.
  1. Condition of Visitors: Persons who are intoxicated or under the influence of intoxicating substances will not be admitted to the Museum.

III. PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO RECORDING

  1. Visitors are permitted to take amateur photographs and short videos of the exhibits at the MoJA Jewelry Museum, exclusively for personal use, without the right to use them commercially.
  2. The use of flash photography is strictly prohibited. Flash photography is harmful to the exhibits, particularly jewelry containing delicate gemstones or organic elements.
  3. The use of tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, and other stabilizing accessories that could obstruct movement in the galleries or pose a threat to the exhibits is prohibited.
  4. Taking photographs and making recordings for commercial, advertising, or documentary purposes requires prior written consent from the Museum Directorate.

IV. ORGANIZED GROUPS AND CHILDREN

  1. Organized Groups:
  • Groups of more than 10 people must make a reservation in advance for their tour.
  • The group must be accompanied by a designated supervisor who bears full responsibility for the behavior of the participants and their compliance with the Rules and Regulations.
  1. Children: Children under the age of 13 may visit the Museum only under adult supervision.
  2. Guardians of children and leaders of organized groups are financially liable for any damage caused by their charges within the Museum.

V. USE OF LOCKERS (IMPORTANT)

  1. The Museum provides visitors with lockers for the temporary storage of luggage and outerwear.
  2. The lockers are not monitored or supervised by Museum staff.
  3. The MoJA Jewelry Museum is not liable for the loss, damage, or theft of valuables (including cash, documents, electronic devices, personal jewelry, and other valuable items) left by visitors in the lockers.
  4. Visitors are responsible for properly securing the locker (locking it and taking the key/remembering the code).
  5. Items not retrieved from lockers after the Museum closes will be secured and handed over to the Museum’s Lost and Found Office.

VI. VISITOR LIABILITY

  1. Visitors bear full financial liability for any damage caused to exhibits, display cases, or other Museum property, including damage resulting from a gross violation of these Rules and Regulations.
  2. In the event of a violation of these Rules and Regulations, particularly if it poses a threat to exhibits or other persons, Museum staff or security personnel have the right to order the visitor to leave the Museum premises immediately, without the right to a refund of the admission fee.
