Jan Suchodolski

Jan Suchodolski was born on April 2, 1961, in Warsaw. He studied Landscape Architecture at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. He has been designing jewelry since 1986. He is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers – Applied Arts.

The artist’s trademark is jewelry made of numerous spheres. Jan Suchodolski also uses geometric motifs in his designs, such as triangles, squares, and circles. He was one of the first in Poland to move away from polishing silver to a "high gloss." He introduced satin-finished and brushed jewelry. In his designs, he often combines silver with copper and colorful elements.

The author's works can be found in the collections of the Museum of Goldsmithing Art in Kazimierz Dolny, the Museum in Legnica, the Museum in Gliwice, and in numerous private collections, including that of Maria Magdalena Kwiatkiewicz.

Together with Marcin Gronkowski, the artist runs the well-known studio "Wasze Obrączki" (Your Wedding Rings). In addition to creating jewelry, Jan Suchodolski also practices street photography and, recently, abstract painting, which refers back to his jewelry designs.
