Małgorzata Kalińska
A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, she received an honors degree from the Department of Jewelry Design. Previously, she graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts in Szczecin.
The primary objective guiding the artist during her design process is functionality. She draws inspiration from the reality surrounding her, as well as encountered objects and situations. Silver is the key material she most frequently employs in her work. Beyond silver, she also utilizes textiles, porcelain, enamel, rubber, and foil. A hallmark of her work is the diversity of her collections, which represent something much more than mere adornment.
In addition to jewelry, her passion lies in painting. She has participated in numerous exhibitions and competitions, including the AMBERIF competition and international contests organized by the Art Gallery in Legnica. She is a scholarship recipient of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and a member of the Goldsmithing Artists' Association. In 2019, she was a laureate of the "Protezeusze" Presentations competition. In 2020, her jewelry made of polyurethane resin was awarded the main prize in the Japan Jewelry Competition, and her works were showcased at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.
